In the middle of deliberation on the budget of the Office of the President, the plenary chamber shook with lightning protest by youth activists under Youth Act Now. The youth activists began “Ibasura ang pork barrel ni Aquino!” (Junk Aquino’s pork barrel) when they were shoved out of the building by House security men. Reports have it that Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa, who was present during the deliberation, was furious at the interruption of the House passing of the President’s budget that included what can been deemed pork barrel funds.
